This favourite from the family Bosteels Brewery pours a slightly hazy, golden hay colour, the beer virtually glows. As indicated by its special chalice glass, it has a massive foaming white head which takes its time to subside to a drinkable level.
The fruity nature of the house yeast comes through in the form of banana and vanilla, mixed with citrusy floral notes and subdued herbs.
There is big sweetness up front, which is restrained by a spicy, citrusy dryness. The mouthfeel of this beer is special, with the three grain mix of crisp wheat, creamy oats and earthy barley. The carbonation is perfect, and makes this an easy drinking beer despite the 8.4% ABV; truly an impressive offering to please anyone.
