From starting life unofficially providing beer to the local pub, then formally opening the a brewery a few years later, Brasserie Lupuls has grown to operating at full capacity.
Now producing 70,000 bottles per day they are looking to further expand.
More than half of their production is consumed domestically, which is actually a pretty impressive fact given just how much of Belgium’s beers is exported all over the world. But it comes as no surprise that this regional brewery has been so successful given the fact it was started by one of the original founders of Brasserie Achouffe.
Over the years we have included several of the Lupulus beers, all of which have been great. This is the first time we’ve has the Triple Blonde.
It pours as a little glass of gold, shimmering in the sunlight (if you are fortunate enough to be drinking your beer in the sun), with a fruity, yeasty and slightly spicy aroma. Yellow stone fruits – pear & peach, banana and some citrus fruit present.
The early fruit and malt sweetness gives in to a good bitterness with an interesting spicy touch. While the mouthfeel is smooth and quite full the beer is on the drier side for the style, which only serves to make you want another taste of this delicious beer which is so dangerously easy to drink for the ABV.
