This is another of the ‘Innovation Series’, which means we grab them whenever we can!
Made using 20% rye malt and 10% smoked malt, this beer is first and foremost an IPA with Simcoe and Cascade hops providing a citrus and grassy aroma.
There is malt and fruit sweetness at first, then being joined by a dry spiciness and solid bitterness. The smoked malt hides in the background, but does come through gently toward the finish.
Lots to explore in this beer, and made the more interesting by keeping the atributes subtle rather than being smacked between the eyes.
