A beer from a small brewery who have moved about a few times, but now found themselves a home in a renovated farmhouse in the small village of Wakken.
Zatte Bie is a strong dark ale, that is a lovely dark brown colour with a rich sweet aroma of caramel, honey and dark fruit.
The taste is a luxurious mix of six different malts, roasted and slightly smoky, with honey and gentle spicing. The rich grainy body provides a smooth, full mouthfeel, drying toward the finish and the pleasant lingering aftertaste.
About the beer: The name means ‘Drunken Honey Bee’, as depicted on the label. A fun and quirky side to a serious beer.
