by Browar Amber
Polish beer brought to Australia by Polish beer lovers Pietr and Teresa - has to add a degree of endorsement to the product.
The beer pours a lovely reddish-brown colour, with a thick tan head. The aroma is full of sweet chocolate, raisins, burnt sugar and a hint of coffee.
To taste, the beer is rich and smooth, filled with flavours of roasted malt, raisins, caramel and dark chocolate. There is a background earthiness to break through the sweetness. As the beer warms a little, more flavours will present. A great ‘after dinner’ beer.
Something interesting: when this beer was first released in Poland, it was sold with Belgian chocolates!
Try it yourself – sample your beer a couple of times, then nibble on a little dark chocolate and see how this brings out the chocolate flavours in the beer. Or go the other way, and contrast with something salty.
